The team

What we bring to the table:

Owner, Art Schmidt

The Schmidt family has owned & operated the Farmhouse and its surrounding properties for over 20 years.  In fact, the land has been in his family for generations.  Art’s passion for the environment runs deep.  He implements all in-house recycling & composting programs, and is an activist for local farmers & community outreach.

Chef, Javan Small

Born in Misawa, Japan, Javan’s love of food began at an early age when he started his restaurant career in the 10th grade.  Javan has trained under world-renowned chefs in both the United States and in Europe.  Javan graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Magna Cum Laude, with degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Entrepreneurship, and most notably worked under Chef Lea Linster at her Michelin-rated restaurant in Luxembourg.  Chef Javan Small has perfected his craft over the years, favoring European styles and techniques, and embracing the farm to table movement.

General Manager, Jolene Mirenna

Jolene has been active in the organic, sustainable, &  farm-to-table movements for over 10 years; traveling the world in search of the best food, trends, and practices.  A self-proclaimed ‘foodie’ and home organic gardener, Jolene brings a myriad of attributes to the table.  Stop by today to see what fresh herbs, produce, and flowers have been picked from Jolene’s garden for you to enjoy.

Front of the House Manager, Moira Halloran

Moira (Moe) has over twenty-five years of experience in the restaurant world.   Moira cut her teeth at the Farmhouse many years ago, and her path has brought her full circle to the Restaurant she considers home.  Always approachable, always accessible; Moira loves when you come in for a beer and stay for the conversation.
